Hi! I’m Courtney Stepleton, a licensed SPEAK OUT! Provider in Tennessee. I am passionate about helping people with Parkinson’s Disease and their loved ones better understand the disease process. I am a graduate of The University of Tennessee and have been a medical speech therapist for 17 years. I provide care to those who qualify for the Energy Employees Occupational Illness compensation Program Act. I see the former employees of nuclear sites in East Tennessee, in their home, on a weekly basis. A majority of the patients I see have Parkinsons’s Disease or other related movement disorders. I see firsthand hand how the very many symptoms of Parkinsons Disease impacts my patients and their friends and family. I hope to provide care, motivation and education to a wider net of people through this website! Through individual and group therapy I want my patients to improve their independence, improve voice function, and ability to eat safely.
